The most recent issue of our journal, Spring 2015 - THE GLOBAL EDUCATOR - is now available online.  Members also receive a copy through the mail. Please make sure that your membership is up to date and/or join today. Your membership supports the valuable work that we do to support teachers who want to make a difference.
“Global Education is education that opens people’s eyes and minds to the realities of the world, and awakens them to bring about a world of greater  justice, equity and human rights for all.

Global Education is understood to encompass Development Education, Human Rights Education, Education for Sustainability, Education for Peace and Conflict Prevention and Inter-cultural Education; being the global dimensions of Education for Citizenship.”

The Maastricht Global Education Declaration, 2002

We at PAGE BC believe that Global Education ...
is a philosophy of living and a methodology that links the themes of peace, sustainable living, fairness and equality, rights & responsibility, and identity and belonging to our personal and professional actions. It also seeks to find and implement ways of infusing these interconnected and interdependent themes into our existing curricula and institutions by coming to understand the natural and human engineered systems in which they exist.
Peace & Global Educators teach for citizens of the world who demonstrate humanitarian concern & are cognizant of living in a socially responsible manner.
